Ofelia Galvezon-Tequi. The Filipino printmaker/painter currently living in Paris will show her recent figurative compositions at the Ma'I Room of the Ayala Museum from March 3 to 28.

Popo San Pascual. San Pascual's work is noted for exuberant brushwork and color and intuitive perceptions of contemporary life. The exhibit will run from March 3 to 28 at the Gallery 3 of the Ayala Museum.

Pardo de Leon. Recent works of Pardo de Leon explore the psychological tensions of spaces and forms in the content of memory and subjective consciousness. His works will be on display at the Ayala Museum Lobby from March 3 to 28.

Margins, Emergence: Women in History FHL, in cooperation with U.P. Film Center and Mowelfund Film Institute, will screen three short videos on the roles of women in the struggle for nationhood-from the Philippine Revolution of 1896 to the Women's Suffrage Movement. There will also be an open forum with the filmmakers from the U.P. Film Center Workshop and Dr. Luisa Camagay of the U.P. Department of History. This lecture-screening is the first of the 3-part Margins, Emergence series on marginal and emergent themes and techniques in cinema. It will be held at the Filipinas Heritage Library Reading Room from 1:30pm onwards. Admission fee is P50.00 for professionals, P30.00 for students and senior citizens.

Da Capo. The Chocolate Kiss Café presents Da Capo, a night of piano, violin, and flute music. Da Capo is a Latin musical term that means "to return to the beginning" and the name of the quartet that serenades the café. The concert will be held at the mezzanine of Ang Bahay ng Alumni on R. Magsaysay Street, UP Diliman, Quezon City. Dinner-cocktails will be served at 7pm. The concert begins at 8pm. Tickets are available at P350.00. Julius Clar. A photographer by profession, Julius Clar will show his black-and-white hand produced photos of pointed or fragile objects in minimalist still life studies of discomfort and danger. The exhibit will run from March 18 to 31 at the Artlane of the Ayala Museum.

Historya: Women of Rizal. Noted historian and essayist Ambeth R. Ocampo will deliver an informal talk on the women in the life of national hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal, particularly his wife Josephine Bracken. The talk is a preview of the current research Ocampo is doing on the subject. Registration is at 6pm. The talk begins at 6:30pm at the Filipinas Heritage Library Reading Room. Admission fee is P50.00 for professionals, P30.00 for students and senior citizens.

New Voices: Poetry and Fiction Recital. In cooperation with NCCA and Creative Writing Foundation, the Filipinas Heritage Library features Ronald Baytan, Gad Sy-Lim, and May Tobias. The authors will read their works at the FHL Reading Room from 3-4pm. The admission fee is P30.00.

Book Swap. The Filipinas Heritage Library will have its much-awaited book swap on March 27 at the FHL Reading Room, from 10am to 2:30pm. The admission fee is P5.00. FHL will start receiving old books which you wish to trade in for other titles beginning February 24. The more books you have, the earlier you should have those books registered as they will still have to be appraised. Each book will be assigned a corresponding number of points. This is the book's "coupon price". Your coupons will enable you to trade your old books for better titles.
